From the Editor,

I would like to welcome you to the newly updated version of The Journey Magazine, vol.2 ver.1. We have strived for a new design approach to bring the look and feel of a hard-copy magazine to an electronic magazine. With outstanding visuals and better, user friendly, navigation, this should make your enjoyment of this issue quite complete.

With this truly momentous collaboration entitled 'The Journey Project,' African-American photographers have united to document the African-American communities, in their own eyes. The result is a telling story. An in-depth view. A very unique perspective. This magazine is about that effort. In it, we present the words and pictures of this work-in- progress and showcase a selection of the actual, photographic images from the still traveling, gallery exhibit.

I hope you, the reader, enjoy your journey through these pages.
